Crazy Crazy life!
Whoa! One week ago Robert and I were waiting anxiously to put our bed and dresser back into our room(as much as we LOVE sleeping on the dining room floor). Three days ago we found out that this was no surface mold we were dealing with and were released from our lease(hmm? release makes it sound like we were signing up for more!). We began a frantic search for an apartment so we could move at the end of the month. Yesterday we signed away all our savings and the day after tomorrow we are moving. UGH! What a week. I've been trying to pack and clean and organize and get laundry done and transfer my utilities and everything else that goes with moving. Today I had to work extra hours and I've also been feeling achey and sickish. I have a fun idea, everyone leave a comment your most awesome rental experience!

ReplyDeleteOne time I rented a wedding dress and Dustin rented a tux, and while we were playing dress-up we decided we may as well get married! So we did. And now we're renting a falling-apart-ment and we love it. For more details, see www.maryannpenwoman.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteOk, the first place Tyler and I ever rented was a tiny cabin in the NH woods that hadn't been lived in for two years. Every surface was completely covered with mouse leavings, which I had to clean up, and we had to keep all our food in metal tins all summer because the traps we had set everywhere made no dent in the rodent population... but we got to stay there for nearly free.
ReplyDeleteWhen i was in college the apartment i was in had shag carpet that could have eaten someone if it had not been matted down by the many hordes of people who had lived there. Our living room also had an indented section that we called the pit of despair. :)
