YAY!

I am so excited! I just can't hide it! We bought a tiny mini indoor greenhouse and planted some flower and vegetable seeds to put out in our 'garden.' Once spring gets here, ya know. Gardens are my best fave! That means winter is almost over, folks!

First steps on a long road

Today I hit an important stepping stone on the road of pregnancy. Someone asked me when my baby was due. Six more months, six more months. I really should have told her that I was just fat.

crazy life

So, since we moved from the mold house we no longer have internet in our house. So, sorry that it's been so long.

Life is good, but I never thought the day would come when I would actually be at this point in my life. We found out just before Christmas that we were expecting, and our baby will be here in August. I almost forget sometimes until I see myself in the mirror. I don't really have child-bearing hips or a long torso, so I am showing already and barely into my second trimester. I can't button my pants anymore and my shirts don't all quite pass the Bend and Stretch test.

This week we got to see our baby for the first time. The doctor says I'm in for it because it was moving around so much. It looked like a flippy little fish in there! I think it is such a miracle to grow a baby! It is so far away from being born, but already it has a tiny heart that beats and pumps. It's little stomach is contracting. It was waving its tiny arms around and reacting to us poking at it. Robert is just as proud as can be; he carries the ultra sound picture in his wallet and falls asleep with his hand on my roundy belly. I can't wait to see him holding my baby.

when it rains, it pours!

So since Robert got swine flu after Halloween everything went down hill. He was bored out of his mind having to be home from school and work, but then the TV broke and the computer broke. Then the microwave broke. Then my paycheck didn't come. Can life get any more crazy? Well, I guess it's better than boring and dull.

halloween

So halloween was a big to-do at our house this year. We both dressed up to go to school on Friday, then we spent all day Saturday getting ready for a party at our house. Too bad, though, Robert was starting to get sick. We had dinner and and made wa-was de pan. Everyone came and had a great time. We watched the lamest movie and had a lot of fun. Sunday Robert's sister came, and robert got sicker. By monday we had decided he was swiney-sick. Ew. What a weekend.

Special...

Kids are so funny! Whether it's a two year old swearing at her zipper(swearing isn't funny at any age, guys) or their mis-speaking ways. I work at an elementary school with the...challenged kids. One of my students can not speak english OR spanish, so all her sentances sound like this "nanana reetheth, nanana shwing, nanana higher, ok?" The other day, in her own little language, that she hates her brother and so she cut his hair off while he was sleeping. Is this the truth? In her case, probably. Another little one told me that his dad died. He got killed by a wolf in New York. Not the truth. When I told my little after school boy that i couldn't climb the ladder because my arm hurt, he told me(very concernedly) "climb gently. you gotta stretch it." Today he was telling me all about kidney stones. When his mom got there to pick him up he said "mom! I didn't wet my pants yetserday. I did yesterday, but it dried." Or, "I got new speed racer underwear! Don't look at it." Ya know the song "bring me to pina coladas"? When my brother was younger he sang it "bring me two bean enchalada." My brother-in-law called Danish Hotcakes "done with hotcakes." My older brother came out of the back and said to my mom "mom, dad is in the bedroom praying, which is highly unusual." He was three. A little boy told me to not pick the boy mice, they are the ones with tenticles. me my own self was known to to say some silly things when I was a tike. Like when I picked up the toy phone and said "Mommy? Hello mommy? Shame on you mommy! Goodbye!" Or when my poor little legs were so tired while we were camping and I cried to my mom "I just keep walking and walking!" Robert told his grandpa that there was a hole in his hair. Goodness sakes, kkids are too funny!
